Data Security Measures Every Business Should Take

One of the worst problems a startup and essentially every business can ever face is the loss of important data. The significance is nothing to underestimate. A single document file missing from the data storage can result in critical situations. Data stored by businesses is essential for all those who are connected with that information.

Given the recent changes in the technological world, we can be sure that there are valid threats out there that are constantly putting our data at risk. We can find several forms of cybercrimes around us and let’s get one thing straight. It’s not too hard for anyone to track text messages from another phone, therefore it’s not too hard to get hacked.

Data security compromises to identify

The problem lies in the infrastructure of the data storages. Let’s look at it as the three points where all the data is generally located. The compilation of the data is a center at which the original files are placed. The second place is the network the data is traveling through that can be a highly vulnerable point. The third is the place the data is stored and used again and other points of storages can be the physical backup drives you may have in some storage rooms.

In the end, it’s still not impossible to crack open your security protocols and get access to the important pieces of information that you’re trying to secure. All the points have major holes that can be used to get inside the systems. Therefore, it is mandatory that security protocols are updated and enhanced to match the threat levels that exist around us.

Security counter-measures

It doesn’t matter whether your business is small or large, the threat is real for all. Hiring professional help that is based on the notion of providing cybersecurity is a good solution. It pays to put measures in place to prevent attacks. Don’t wait to be be attached and lose customer data.

CyberArk

After establishing a distinguished identity in the industry, CyberArk became not just the top cybersecurity company in the world but the third company on the list of the top 500. CyberArk offers privileged Account Security that protects the data enterprises that are being shared publicly.

The account security measures not only protect the physical existence of the data but also backs up and protects your data on their cloud vault. They can provide certain software and aiding programs developed to help you control everything through your infrastructure which would be secured and maintained by them.

Cisco

Cisco has managed to make its way to the fifth in the top 500 list of Cybersecurity companies and their record is proof of their skilled work. Operating out of their headquarters in Silicon Valley, they provide extensive features that include next-generation firewalls, advanced malware protection, cloud security, network visibility, email, and web security along with all the networking and cyber communication tools you might need to make your business more efficient and better equipped.

IBM

Spending what would seem like a heavy budget to compete in the market is IBM with their cybersecurity guarantees to back their services up with. The company is using AIs to constantly update the company’s database regarding potential threats and enhancements that can increase the level of security and efficiency in their as well as their client’s business. Offering cloud-based security platforms that can eliminate the need for physical data transfer.
